Client Testimonials
"At Rosewood Courte, we believe in the therapeutic benefits of Yoga, and Funny Bone Yoga proved to be a highly beneficial form of therapeutic expression not only for our residents, but also for our staff!
We love to try new ideas, and found Susan and her program to be a well thought-out way to reach our folks with memory loss…even our families participated!
We appreciate Susan’s creativity, infectious spirit, and consideration of our learning process.
Funny Bone Yoga is now a regular part of our Program, and we can genuinely recommend this experience to anyone wishing to add a new twist to their Senior Wellness Program."

"It was a nice way to connect with my grandma. Sometimes it is hard to connect by conversing so having an alternative is great. I was also a nice way to meet other residents and their families."

"I thought it was strange at first, but after I saw how everyone reacted to it (Funny Bone Yoga) I was amazed that people with dementia could communicate in those different ways. It made everyone smile and interact in completely different ways."

"If you have a chance to work with Susan Parker on one of her Laughter and Refocus Programs, jump on it! I attended one of her sessions and was amazed at her results. She had all of us participating and laughing as we learned the skills to decrease stress and increase our productivity. She is an inspiration!"

"I have had the privilege of working with Susan Parker on more than one occasion. We asked her to come in and do a presentation at my last assisted living community. Our Director of Operations was there, along with the entire management staff. She actually got us up and moving, and we had one of the best laughs any of us had had in some time. (Our DOO can be a little serious, and it was fun to see him really enjoying himself).
I also asked her to be our speaker at an Eldernet luncheon one of my new communities hosted this spring. Guests at this event talked about it for weeks afterwards. How much fun Susan was, how at ease they felt with her, and how she really knows her stuff. They said it was one of the most “fun” meetings they had been to in a long time!
The line of work we do, whether its marketing, nursing, or care…any of it…our jobs are not always easy. The days can be wonderful, yet still stressful. I have found that the techniques Susan teachescan help you shed that stress off like taking off a heavy coat. And the team building that happens is just an added bonus."
"We cannot really love anybody with whom we never laugh." (Agnes Reppler) I believe Agnes was correct."

"Susan Parker brought her Laughter and Refocus program to the retirement community where my Father lives in Atlanta and I had the pleasure of participating along with Dad and about thirty other residents of the community.
I was very impressed how Susan was able to draw even the most reticent of the group in and by the end everyone was fully participating and having a good time.
I noticed for the next couple of days the participants were “hee hee’ing” to everyone and seemed to be more involved with their surroundings than before the program.
I wish this program could be integrated into the community’s continuing programs since it seemed to be very beneficial after only a one hour session."

"I felt the Laugh and Refocus program was such a unique offering. Susan has the ability to create exercises that are useful in everyday situations which help bring life back into focus. She taught us how to stop and smell the roses again and we walked away with a smile inside and out."

"The tapping instruction you provided has really helped my game... I can now get in tune with myself and 1) determine what it is I'm feeling that is interfering with my game 2) turn the negative thoughts off and tap, literally, into my inner self, which allows my game to come back around to where I'm playing well again within a few holes."

"Entertaining and informative. Susan's unique approach opened our eyes to the mental tools we can all use to grow our respective businesses. Even those of us who do not play golf had a great time practicing the mental skills on the putting green. Lunch, sunshine and golf definitely made our August meeting
fun."

"I had the pleasure of attending a session that Susan presented, and am so thankful I did! It was one of those days that I almost dismissed going because of so many obligations, but it was what I needed for ME! We laughed and had such a great time, she did an amazing job with everyone in the room! I highly you recommend you look into her programs!"

"Susan, your presentation was amazing this morning! I especially loved the bunny ears...I really mean it. You had everyone at the edge of their seats with that technique of yours. I plan to incorporate it into my daily routine and hope to become a "black belt" some day! Very useful technique and it has come at an extremely timely moment in my life."

"Susan and I first met when I was recovering from a life-changing accident and the death of my husband. We worked together, or rather she put up with me, through the next couple of years through the grieving and healing process. She helped me gain strength I didn't know I had, gave me some tools for dealing with mental and physical stress, and provided consistent and positive support. With her good humor and quick insights, I learned to refocus my activities and define a new life. (There is life without skiing. Biking and tennis are great fun. And, there is a world filled with interesting and positive people.)
We have stayed in touch periodically as life has sometimes turned upside down, or at least gone sideways. She calls a spade a spade in helping me see the world clearly. She listens, empathizes without sympathizing, and always has ideas for helping me get myself back on track. I value her as a professional, and as a person.
Susan truly is a life coach."
